Setting an Appointment

When you have committed to seeking psychological services with BCA, here are the steps you will need to take:

1. Call BCA at 610-865-8177 to speak with an Administrative Assistant.

2. You will be asked to provide your Name, Address, and Phone Numbers.

3. After the Administrative Assistant has taken your general information, you will be asked to provide a very brief description of the difficulties you are having at this time. The description helps the BCA staff to make a determination of the most appropriate counselor for you particular situation.

4. You will be asked to rate the Severity of the Problem on a scale from 1. Urgent to 5. Not Urgent. The urgency rating provides BCA assistance in determining how rapidly you will need to be seen for services.

5. Make sure you have your Medical Insurance Card available in front of you.

6. Be ready to provide your Medical ID Numbers, Group ID Numbers, and Telephone Numbers. The fees for psychological services cannot be determined until your insurance coverage has been verified.

7. If you have any Secondary Medical Coverage, please be sure to provide that information to the Administrative Assistant.

8. After gathering the above information, the Administrative Assistant will schedule you with a counselor that best meets your needs.. In some instances, insurance verification may require a call to the carrier prior to setting an appointment. BCA is able to verify the insurance within 24 hours in most instances. We encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to making an appointment to find out your benefit and whether or not BCA participates with your insurance.

9. Finally, either download the necessary forms you will need to complete or request the packet of forms to be sent to you prior to your initial appointment. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open these files. If you do not have this software installed on your computer, click here to download.
