Early in her career, Nicole spent 5 years dabbling in professional theater exploring the psyche through the many characters she portrayed before realizing her true passion for helping others with their psyche and obtained her Master’s degree. Nicole achieved further experience in the mental health field working at Philhaven, a behavioral health hospital, in an after-school program for children and adolescents aged 5 through 13. There, she provided individual and group therapy utilizing experiential and expressive techniques to assist clients in crisis or experiencing traumatic events. Subsequently, Nicole worked at a substance abuse and mental health facility providing individual and group therapy for adults with co-occurring disorders, adolescents, and families.
Nicole has also worked at Haven House for the past 5 years, an outpatient mental health clinic, providing integrated care along with psychiatrists and nursing staff for clients with bipolar disorder, co-occurring disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and severe, persistent mental illness. In that setting, she has provided individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents.
Nicole feels grateful to intertwine all her interests into a fulfilling career that most often does not even seem like work. She is passionate about walking alongside clients in the healing process and recognizing progress in all circumstances.
