Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Dickinson College in Psychology and earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Jessica has worked in a variety of settings including: a hospital setting, partial-hospitalization, community-based outpatient facilities, and private practice. She has experience working with an incredibly diverse population including children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in treating anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, behavioral issues, mood disorders, disordered eating, and addiction.
Jessica understands how difficult it can be to find the courage to ask for help and works hard to make everyone feel safe with her calm demeanor and professional attitude. She believes in the importance of building rapport in order to be as productive as possible when utilizing effective interventions. Jessica is passionate about correcting self-invalidation, negative self-talk, and unhealthy behavioral patterns. She utilizes a multitude of interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and behavior modification to assist her clients in meeting their treatment goals.
Jessica will collaborate with clients on short-term goals in order to better elicit change in a positive and self-rewarding way. Clients who choose to work with Jessica can expect a safe and professional atmosphere, insight into negative thought patterns or unhealthy coping skills causing barriers to change, and the ability to manage symptoms by gaining control over them. Most importantly, Jessica hopes to strengthen client-therapist relationships with trust and honesty to help her clients succeed in their goals with autonomy and confidence.
